In my attempts to promote the South African national melktert day (27th Feb), and make it international, I posted a recipe for milktart on my old Crumbs of Rain blog. Now, to secure the international success, my readers will have six months notice to start practicing for the big day. The tart is simple but delicious addition to any coffee table around the world and is one of the most common South African treats – and, naturally, my personal favourite.
